Polygraph Examination results, (charts) are scored by the computer and manually by the
Examiner. As per standard procedures all results are reviewed by three of our Polygraphists
and confirmed by Mr Alan Fourie before submission.
We are at present setting up a computerised system whereby we will have access to our
Associates who will be able to witness examinations, in as far as America, while the
examinations are in progress. This option will ensure we make use of all our Associates
experience and opinions.

On a daily basis our firm services are utilized by businesses and private individuals to

administer polygraph examinations. When a specific and identifiable incident occurs,

( theft, fraud, assault, stock and vehicle loss, etc.). The polygraph technique is the most

effective means available to determine the credibility of a person's statements.

The procedures of a polygraph examination are:

A personal conference or telephone discussion where the polygraph examiner obtains the
case background information.
A pretest interview with the subject which generally lasts 45 minutes, during which the
examiner discusses the issue under investigation, thoroughly reviews all of the test
questions that will be asked during the examination, and assesses the individual's emotional
and physiological suitability to take the test.

A series of 4 to 6 tests, during which the subject's physiological responses are recorded as

they answer a set of pre-established questions concerning the issue under investigation; and,

The examiner shall not render a final opinion based on chart analysis, until the examinee has
had a reasonable opportunity to explain any reactions to pertinent questions.
A review and interpretation of the polygraph charts, from which the examiner will reach one of
three conclusions - that the subject is telling the truth; that the subject is not telling the truth;

or, that the results are inconclusive.

Upon completion of the examination a verbal report will be given to the client, followed by a

written report which will provide a list of the relevant test questions, the subject's answers,

and the examiner's opinion as to the subject's truthfulness or deception.
